Kilo helped me to understand the different elements like our Kupuna so we will be able to our knowledge in our daily lives. Ie: Fishing, Gardening, Hunting as well as fun activities like swimming in the ocean or streams, hiking in the mountains. Our Kupuna were very intelligent people and being able to survive daily life with limited resources because they respected the land and the earth. Also we all view our surroundings through different lenses.
It also made me realize that we all need to stop every once an a while and just take in all the beauty that surrounds us. Being surrounded by all this beauty we learn to appreciate life itself.
Today's kilo helped me understand the difference between locations and where we sat and how they affect what we observe. Sitting near the kalo patch it was a different kind of relaxing listening to the running water flow and hearing the birds chirping and just sitting under the shade of the lauhala tree compared to the louder ocean pounding against the rocks along the shore and the heat from the sun and the wind was a little more powerful near the shore. Today's kilo made me realize how much I love the island that I was raised on and how beautiful it is. Appreciating my surroundings.
Today’s Kilo I observed to be present. Being in tuned to the now can help you in the future. I observed that when we were at the ocean That the clouds in Ian were thick. So I thought that today may not be a good day to go to the valley.
Being able to kilo can help make decisions for the future.
Today's kilo helped me understand my surroundings are really important, and to inhale it all in. To be appreciative of such a beautiful site and state we are blessed and thankful to be born and raised in.
Today's kilo made me be more observative of my surroundings and not be so one dimensional and really take it all in. While using all your senses, even looking further with a different perspective.
