I felt that it was all very well planned out and the mentors were very well understood and they shared some valuable knowledge and delicious food. Today's lesson we made or prepped laulau. It was my first time every doing so and I'm glad that I can now say I've done it. Again, we went over some hawaiian vocabulary and they went over the words or sentences in Hawaiian about the actions in which we used to make the laulau.

My overall experience was great. Interacting with the food and just talking story while creating food for tomorrow was enjoyable and felt that I connected deeper with everyone. I believe there is a saying that goes like "food connects people". Also learning vocabulary and how to prepare laulau through olelo was interesting to me. I enjoyed the kumu that taught the class and they made it fun for us as well.
